My sister went to Spain in 1998 to visit a buddy, Gemma, who had been a foreign exchange student back in high school. She brought home that fan for me and a beautiful blue one for herself. She even tried to teach me how to "flick" the fan open just right. I've kept it all these years and have had it on a special display in my living room (I use a lot of red and gold in there). I've only recently had to remove it and tuck it away after my children chipped the ear off a signed Lladro figurine that sister brought home from that same Spain trip.
I enjoyed finding your fan posted here, I see you're keeping it in great condition.
